Talk Tuesday - I got my 11 packages from the Lacquered Me Birthday Club - Long post

Did you wonder at all how the 11 Packages Bday Club was going?
Yeah, I'm here to tell you guys how fun my birthday month was.  The Birthday Club went really well the first starting month. The  eleven girls spoiled me rotten with so many fun packages. I had all those 11 packages coming throughout the month of November and of course you can imagine how thrilling it was. Everyday I was so eager to reach in to my mail box and find something special in there. The limit price for the packages are $5-$10 and trust me that can make someone smile or even ... do a happy dance like I did :) I want to say thank you to Amber, Arielle, Andrea, Ashley, Bee, Erika, Sarah B, Sarah J, Jodi, Ninon and Kristal. You guys were awesome!! This was the best month birthday that I have had in yearssssssss. I love everything you guys shopped for me and even hand made specially for me. Each package meant a lot to me. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!
So, here are some pictures I took along the month so I could share with us. Sorry for the bad quality photos. But keep your focus on what was inside of my special packages ok? All the girls did great!

Here is a picture of all the 11 packages under my desk in my office. That's the way I kept track of how many more packages were coming on my way and had to join the other one under my desk. Doesn't that look super cool?

Jodi's and Andrea's packages : those were the first ones I got right on my birthday week.  My first Konad polish and Kleancolor and some other awesome goodies. OMG I think I won't be able to describe how happy I am for all those things. But keep scrolling down to see more and more. I just wish I could have made a video of me opening all the packages. Seriously. It would be fun to watch for sure.

Then I realized it would be great if I'd take pictures of the packages with name tags on who's gift was it from. Then i can remember to thank Bee for the awesome Origami she made ( my husband loved it) and all the confetti in the package ( I should have taken a pic of them - somewhat iridescent one, super cool) without mentioning the Essie she sent I'm in love with it and the other goodies. Kristal sent me some cool polishes I have never owned before. All of thema re new to me and I'm excited to try all of them. And I simply loved the bday card she sent me. Super cute. And thanks for the other goodies too. Thank you girls!!!!!
Then I went to Arizona and got to meet with Sarah J in person. that was soooo fun that she got to give my gift present in person. We had lunch together, had somee polish chat and I got to open my package right there with her. I got some Sally Hansen Prisms. Such cool holografic polishes, hand cream, dotting tools and all the goodies. Thank you Sarah and it was a pleasure getting to meet you. I hope we can all get together sometime soon :) I got home from Arizona and had Ashley's and other 2 girls' packages waiting for me at home. Wowww!!!! I felt in love with the post card Ashley sent to me. I looove post cards. She also brought me back to sweet childhood with memories I have of me being crazy about Sweet Rocks. OPI and Barielle brought also a smileeee in my face as well as the owl earings and all. Thank you so much girls! I appreciate every little thing and if I don't mention something specifically that came in the package please dn't think I wasn't pleased with it ok? I did enjoy everything you all sent me :)

Arielle made the bday card she sent me. How awesome is that? I just feel so special having all of these custom made things :) She bought me the cute NOPI mini set and Wet n' Wild beautiful glitter I had spotted  before but held myself back to not buy me that cause I was on a NO BUY. Then I get that. So awesome!!! She also sent me a cute sign and eyeshadow set with some great colors. Thanks and thanks!!!!! Erika sent me the nail wheels I wanted so bad to start swatching my nail polish collection, such a gorgeous post card ( I want to go to New Hampshire), and a Barielle I had on my wishlist for ever and INM Southern Lights. How cool is that? November was like Xmas day everyday for me. Thank you soooo much girls!!

I am not a Zoya virgin anymore because of Amber. I did the happy dance cause I have been wanting some Zoya it's been a while and there I have it. Thanks for spoiling me Amber :) And the scented Color Club too. Amber also hand made a nail polish jewelry for me. I need to wear it and post a pic here. It's beautiful!! Sarah B sent me some more nail wheels ( love love), some SH minsi and my first Elf :) Love it! And a great post card. Yayy! Tahnk you thank you girls!!

Oh Ninon's was the last one to arrive. Found her package on my door step and oh boy she spoiled me bad. She crocheted a cute very well elaborated hand purse for me. How sweet is that! Than the post card that was just so cool with all the neon lines. I want to visit all the states I goot post cards from. Then I got some nail polish strips, Revlons, Essie, Funky Fingers ( my second one), OPI and another Zoya. From zero Zoyas to some of them :) And my first Sephora everrr. Thank you so much Ninon.

And to finish here you have a picture of all the polishes I got from the Birthday Club on my birthday month. Lots of polishes I have to try now :) I love all of them and I find interesting getting stuff that I'd never thought of buying or either didn't have access to it or had in my wishlist. It was just super fun! I thank you all again. I got admmit I'm sad it's over however once December month is approaching let's Miss December have all that fun throughout her bday month. I sure know Sarah B. is gonna had a blast. If you wanna keep peaking out on what's everybody getting please feel free to visit the other participants blogs >>>>>>HERE<<<<<<<<. Can't wait to send out my package to Sarah and see what she's gonna get.

Monday Mani PaA - Fierce Accent

Phewww!
I know right? Busy past weeks with my trip, a baby shower I pulled off and then Thanksgiving and all. I thought of having automatic posts for you guys but I just did not have time whatsoever for it. No kidding! next time I'll try to plan on staying more active and not let my blog out to the flies.
But overall I had a blast in Arizona visiting my sister, my in-laws, a baby shower, visiting friends, eating at my favorite places, surprising my sista with a totally unexpected baby shower - it was sooo fun. I also got to meet the lovely Sarah Johnson, my polish friend that I met online in one of the groups I'm part of awhile ago. She is also in the Lacquered Me 11 Packages Birthday Club. It was sooo fun cause she got to give my package in person ( I'll let you guys know how the club is going in another post). It was so great to get to meet her in person and chat about polish and also what we enjoy besides polish. I just love meeting people in real life. It's like " they are real". Duhhh , I know. But I'm dork like that. Hey Sarah, I'm so glad we got to meet during my trip.
Anyways, I have been neglecting the Monday Manis really bad. I promise I'll fill up the past 2 Mondays I didn't do. For this Monday they came up with Fierce Accent. I pulled my stamping plate M64 for the accent. But oh man, I love that plate. I like all the designs on that plate and the one chose is definitely my favorite.
This is my take on the fierce accent challenge. I was going to do just the finger nail cause when I hear " accent nail" that's what comes to my mind. However I find  this mani to be very fierce and super elegant. Sorry I didn't take a picture of the base burgundy color by itself. Totally forgot. But that is RIMMEL Burgundy Flirt. I'll do a swatch later and come back posting here for you. It's such a pretty cream bloody red.

My Thanksgiving Mani

I was neglecting blogging but just cause i did not had the time to upload pictures to my computer and then here. It's late but it's finally here and I'm updating my blog. Hope you guys still enjoy seen my pictures even if they are belated to its date. Hope you all had a fun and safe Thanksgiving though :) I kept myself busy making yummy rolls and a sweet potato cassarole with marshmallows to mingle with family.
Anyways, watch what I had on my nails!

What I did was I started with my color base being NYC Fifth Avenue a shimmer orange cooper polish. Love the NYC nail polishes. Easy application and beautiful colors.

Then I started playing with some sponging using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Bronze Ablaze. I knew I wanted to do something over it so I kinda did the sponging in a deliberate way.

Then yeah, I found what I was looking for, leaves and leaves. I absolutely love this mani. Hope you guys love it as much as I do.

Pink Wednesday - Essence Meet me Now -- and some fail :(

Just look at the color ok? I was soo tired and totally messed up taking care of my cuticlesfor this manicure. Sorry! It's getting really cold here and I do need an extra care with my hands and cuticles. But like I said look at the polish color :) I'm wearing Essence  Meet Me Now, a purplelish cream pink and better >>> just needed one coat. I love one coat nail polishes. That baby came all the way from Netherlands. I did a swap with my lovely polish friend Laura this month ( we share November is our birthday month). I'll be showing what I got from that super good swap.

Then I tried some stamping that uhmm I don't know if I like it but oh well. I'm happy anyways cause here I can show you guys my sucess and my fails as well. Thank for watching!

Sinful Colors What's Your Name

Another old one I had to post.
Yay I'm trying to use my untrieds Sinful Colors and for today I have this baby. Very cool polish.
This is Sinful Colors What's Your Name, fine blue glitter in a jelly black base. Based from the first picture you must be like "Where is the fine blue shimmer she is talking about?" I know. Scroll down and you will see.

I couldn't get the fine blue shimmer to show on th efirst picture so I had to overexpose my picture so you guys can see what I'm talking about. Pretty ugly pic but at least you do see the blue shimmer. It's 100 times better in real life than these pictures I promise you :)

I used 2 coats for that manicure and I totally love this polish. It's another hit on my Sinful Colors scale of hit and miss. Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Thanks for stopping by :)

Monday Mani PaA - Plaid ( w/ a little fail)

Here is my take on Plaid for this week. I tried to be as fast as I could and there I had it ... fail. But besides that I still like how that mani looks. Not from a close up though. I used plate M60 cause I knew I didn't feel like attempting a free hand for this. I used Sally Hansen Navy Baby for the stmaping. And oh, baby yeah that polish is great for stamping.

and if you wanna see a swatch for the base color here it is. That is Essie Lapiz of Luxury. A nice cream lavender blue that looks beautiful besides the pain in the neck that it is to apply. The formula is soooo thin that I needed 3 coats there for full coverage. Love love Essie polishes but there are a few of them that they lack consistency in their formulas. It's yet to come my swatches of the Cocktail Bling , Essie latest collection that has been released. I absolutely love them all. And must tell yoou most them could be a one coater. I'll give you more details when I post that here. But Lapiz of Luxury just reminded me of one of the polishes in that collection. Such a graceful color but Essie really knew how to cranck up on pigmentation. Stay tuned!

Catrice Sold Out Forever

I'm a girl who loves green specially the mint kind ones. I have here Catrice Sold Out Forever. It's a cream mint (more mintsh in real life than on the picture). There is a sublte yet beautiful shimmer in that polish that I wish you could see that in pictures. With Catrice I don't know how I feel about them. Their formula is just so thin I always need 3 coats for full coverage and it takes forever to dry. I love their colors but I'm not amazed by the formula and application. I like their brush though. I have more Catrices so I need to wear the other colors and see if that's just an issue with some of their colors.
But here you have some pictures. For the flower accent I used stickers I got from a seller on Ebay from Shangai. Horrible stickers btw. Hated! They don't lay flat on your nails. Anyways ....

And now Sold Out Forever by itself:

Happy Saturday to you all :)

Sinful Colors Secret Admirer - Happy 11/11/11 !!

I bet there are lots and lots of people getting married today cause of the fun with the numbers 11/11/11 :)
My husband and I have done that on 7/7/07 and it was soooo fun. Except we couldn't find a wedding photographer cause everyone decided to get married on that date apparently. But today we have a story to tell right? Now, I wanna see what today holds. Any special events that you guys know of?
As far as polish, I have something that looks very festive and classy.I had this one on my untrieds stash it's been a while. I then saw that I have at least 3 different brands of polish that have similar polish like this one. I have to do a comparison post. This Sinful Color thought is the cheapest one among them all.
This is Sinful Colors Secret Admirer, a gunmetal color full of fine silver glitter. Very pretty! I remember I had bought this bottle cause I got one for a swap and thought of getting a bottle for myself to keep. That always happens. Does that happen to you too? Go out to buy for somebody and you end up buying something for you too lololo Like I've said before Sinful Colors is a hit or miss. This one is a hit. Really good polish, application was good and coverage with my usual 2 coats.
But now to the pictures :)

NYC Color Pier 17 + Wet n' Wild Cougar Attack

Oh, NYC polishes... How I love them. Right in my budget if I want new colors and quality is superb. Do you own any NYC polishes? If not you should give it a try. Love everything about it!
Today I have reached to a bottle of NYC Pier 17. Beautiful royal blue shimmer. The formula is thinner than usual but I did my usual 2 coats for full coverage.

The I knew I wanted to do something to it but didn;t have time for stamping or anythign like it so I tried to pair that up with Wet n' Wild Cougar Attack, the gorgeous copper glitter I was lemming from the On the Prowl Collection. I had to swap to get that baby cause there was no where for it to be founf by me around here. Anyways, I'm so happy I have it. Kinda love that copper over the blue. It's different and I like it! Do you ? Or is it weird?

Pink Wednesday - Nicole by OPI Kim-pletely in Love + All Kendall-ed Up

Okay, I still have half hour before it's midnight. So I guess my Pink Wednesday is still ok to post right?
Oh I have been s busy it's been hard to keep up with blogging but ... here you guys have it! I posted earlier on fb asking for suggestions for this mani and the two girls who left a comment asked for hot pink and dots. Here is my take. Hope you guys like it. Well, I just hate those Nicole by OPI bottles. Hate them!

The hot pink dots is NOPI All Kendall-ed Up from the Kardashian Collection that has been just release and it can be found exclusively at Walmart.

That light shimmer pink that I chose to use as my base color is NOPI Kim-pletely in Love. Super pretty and lovely and I needed 3 coats to achieve its color. So, what do you guys think?

Talk Tuesdays - Essence Vampire's Love

I'm not into vampire things not even care about the Twilight books and movies. Not at all.
However, Essence Cosmetics is gonna be releasing a new collection called Vampire's Love this month. I am so lemming the nail polishes from that collection. Since Essence is an european company I'm not sure if we are gonna be able to find this collection here in the US. We can always get Essence Colour & Go at ULTA so I'm hoping they get these polishes. I really want them ... want them all. What about you?

Are you lemming any collection/polish coming out soon? What is it?

Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby

I find myself loving red polish on my fingernails now. I used to think that that color was just for a pedicure. But I guess we chane our minds and I find myself picking lots of red tones. I don't match my mani most of the time but I have to say I always try to. Having red on your nails it's a great color and classic that goes with anything. This is Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby, a cream almost jelly sirine red. Sinful Colors is not one of my favorite brands of polish. I know other people loooove it. With me it works this way: when a SC polish is bad then it's really bad. Formula, color, application, finish, everything. But when a SC is good it's a really good one. This one is GREAT!! Really really good. That is my usual 2 coats. I had a good color coverage on nails, the application was just great and I love the color of it!
Do you have this color? What's your opnion on Sinful Color polishes?

And again, what's your favorite picture as far as the angle? Do you like the first or second picture?
You guys have a warm Sunday. I know it's been cold and some of you already have snow. Not my case (just snow on the mountains) but it's cold here.

OPI Dulce de Leche

Quick swatch here.
You know, I really like those type of polishes that you can just put it on when you are in a hurry and don't have time for clean up, accent, stamping or any fancy effect. Just put it on, some SV and voila. Oh, this is the polish I'm talking about. OPI Dulce de Leche from the South America Collection in 2002. It's a cream brownish rose tea polish. Absolutely love it. That way I don't have to walk around with my naked nails :)
Do you guys like those type of shades? Yay or Nay?

Pink Wednesdays Bangle Jangle + Sally Hansen Chrome Pen Fuschia

Yay, I made to Pink Wednesday today!!! I kinda didn't know if I was feeling like wearing pink today but I came up with this.

So, a question do you guys like the first or second picture angle? I happened to tilt my camera and when I was uploading to the computer I really like that angle. Which one do you prefer? My straight vertical angle or the new tilted one?
So, here is the Sally Hansen Chrome Pen Fuschia I used for the stamping. I don't recommend them to paint the nails but they are a must have if you are into nail stamping. You can find them at Walmart, Target, Walgreens and CVS as far as I am concerned. And they retail for $9.99. Totally worth it!

And here is my base color. Essie Bangle Jangle is a cream amethyst lavender type of color. Simply beautiful! That polish if from Essie Winter 2011 Cocktail Collection. Application was great and the formula is just as good. And above and below pictures from the 2 angles. What's your favorite?

And this is it. My simple but yet graceful mani! My mother-in-law is getting here today and I have to pick her up at the airport. Let's see if I get any compliment from her :) I love compliments!! Who doesn't? That's why I love love when you guys take your time and drop me a note here or on fb.
